Roman Math

Are you familiar with the Roman Numeric?
Do you know how to read them?
And I do mean read above 10?
Can you add or subtract Roman Numeric?
Are you eager to know?
Let's go...
It's that simple: Roman doesn't have numbers! They have letters and each letter stands for certain values. The values are:
I or i 1
V 5
X 10
L 50
C 100
D 500
M 1000
Interesting, huh!
But how does Roman were able to add or subtract?? Umm! Let's see:-
What happened here is that you can NOT add small value followed with a larger value
I = 1
II = I+I = 1+1 2
III = I+I+I = 1+1+1 3
IV = V-I = 5-1 4
What happened here is that you can NOT add small value followed with a larger value, you have to subtract them
V = 5
VI = V+I = 5+1 6
Larger value followed by a smaller value, you add them
VII = V+I+I = 5+1+1 7
VIII = V+I+I+I = 5+1+1+1 8
IX = X-I = 10-1 9
X = 10
You can guess the rest.
How about we do something more complicated;
Let's guess the value for these letters: - MDLXVII ?
Try to calculate each color separately
It's: - 1000+500+50+10+5+2 = 1567
Please let me know your comment and if you have any question I'll be happy to help.
Peace】
