One French Fries Please


Yesterday i wondered , why do we call fried chips "french fries"? surprisingly i couldn't find any precise answer on the net . It says that "French-fried potatoes were probably invented in France or Belgium during the 18th century, and the name "French" was applied to them in English in the 19th century".
It's the most logical reason , however it's not for sure .

Well its because french fries are thinner than chips both chips and french fries are made the same way and fried although chips can be oven cooked the chip was invented in britain as the potatoe was our national food and soon migrated to france during britains rule over france but beacme thinner becoming the fry
