Biometric Visas

From September 2007 onwards, Biometric enrolment will be introduced in the UK for visas applicants in the Gulf. All thoses applying for a UK visa will need to give electronic fingerprint scans when they make their visa application. Part of a global rollout throughout 2007, the process is already underway at visa offices in Europe, Southern Asia and Pakistan.

Enrolment will take place at new Visa application Centers. Although this means everyone will have to apply for thier visas in person, its good news for travellers since it makes identity froud more difficult.
