EVOO stands for Extra Virgin Olive Oil. And the person who first came up with this abbreviation is the famous Rachel Ray. She prepares meals in 30 minutes in her show and uses extra virgin olive oil a lot in her food. In fact, EVOO is one of Ray's favorite ingredients in cooking. "I first coined "EVOO" on my cooking show because saying "extra virgin olive oil" over and over was wordy, and I'm an impatient girl. That's why I make 30-minute meals!" says Rachel Ray. This abbreviation has been added to the English Dictionary as one of the many new words that have been coming up lately.
