In the western zodiac, the years are dated from the birth of Jesus , for example, 2005 means 2,005 years after the birth of Jesus.
Unlike western zodiac the Chinese animal signs are a 12-year cycle used for dating the years . In the Chinese calendar the beginning of the year falls somewhere between late January and early February. The animal signs for one another in an established order, and are repeated every twelve years.
The Animals are Rat, OX, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Ram, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig.
For Example Dog (years of a dog) are 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006 . So every 12 years the animal will be appear again.
