What current children are being offered right now is simply amazing because they have the availability of toys that interact rather than only react. Take for example the Pleo Dinosaur by Ugobe, a dinosaur toy designed to emulate the appearance and behavior of a baby dinosaur. Each Pleo would learn from its experiences and environment through a sophisticated artificial intelligence and develop an individual personality.
What makes this amazing toy functional, are many HI-TEC components installed and fitted in its cute body:

I have never laid my hands on a Pleo before. I have seen this amazing toy while visiting Toys R Us in Doha-Qatar. It was offered for 1400 QR (380 US Dollars). I think to efficiently evaluate a Pleo, you have to live with it. So what about you? If you own a Pleo and had experimented with it, then please share with us your opinion. Does it really learn and evolve its personality?

I have forwarded your problem to PleoWorld.com Support and they sent me a fast response as follows (I hope it helps):
If you have an older version Pleo this requires a 4 hour battery charge that produces 1 hour play time.
The light will turn from red to green before the full 4 hours, however, remain to keep the battery on the charger for a full 4 hours.
If you purchased your Pleo prior to November 2009, or the place where you purchased Pleo from purchased prior to November 2009, chances are you have an older version Pleo that includes the older battery and charger.
I would also suggest that you purchase the new Innvo Labs Charger, it has a recondition switch that could increase the life of your old battery.
Pleo new and improved charger: Has a switch that forces a 16hr charge Is compatible with old and new batteries.

HOW TO DETERMINE IF YOU HAVE AN OLDER VERSION PLEO FROM UGOBE VERSUS THE NEW AND IMPROVED PLEO FROM INNVO LABS:
There is a simple way to distinguish between Ugobe Pleo or Innvo Labs Pleo by checking the serial number, the 12 digits serial number of all Innvo Labs Pleo is formatted as 8168XXXXXXX8 . The serial number is found on the bottom feet of Pleo.
So the Serial number’s are: 816800000018, 816800000028, 816800000038……………..816800005998, 816800006008, etc, etc. These are the NEW AND IMPROVWED INNVO LABS VERSION PLEO’S.
