Crowded Earth

“The more people there are, the more the humans environmental footprint expands”, says common sense. It sounds right that the more people there are, consuming and generating waste, the bigger their footprint will be on the planets environmental status.
There are 6.8 billion of us today, and the number is growing. Earths population is expected to reach 9.1 billion by 2050. The two most populated regions in the world, China (1.318b) and India (1.132b), both produce way less carbon dioxide than North America alone. The equation goes as the following: Rich countries are less populated yet consume more and produce more CO2. On the other hand, poor countries are more populated, consume less and thus produce less CO2. This makes the total emissions nearly the same for both rich and poor countries. To amend current complexities there is an enormous need to slow down population growth. People don’t like admitting that there is a big population problem in the world due to the sensitivity of issues like sex, abortion, contraception, family sizes, etc. However, the population issue is a serious one and must be given its share of attention worldwide. The first most important thing to do is educate women in impoverished regions. Educating women makes them want to have fewer children with better future for each
