My useful Pantyhose

This is the season when many ladies find it a serious necessity to wear panty hose under their dresses. Panty hose make the legs look nice and smooth and hide any skin imperfections. I like panty hose because they give dresses a very elegant look, plus they truly keep me warm during cold days. The problem comes when that silky fabric gets ripped off by a scratched nail for example. The panty hose at that point are no more useable, but that does not mean they should be tossed straight to the garbage. There are a few things one can do with an old panty hose instead of using it as an extra item in our landfills.

1.       You can cut the panty hose, fill it with cotton and make cute dolls. We made those back in the school days and they looked so cute especially if you sew some sparkling decorations on them. You can use those dolls to accessorize your kitchen for example or the kid’s room.

2.       Fill up the panty hose with potpourri or scented cotton and tie them up with nice ribbons to deodorize your cabinets.

3.       Wrap a chunk of soil and seeds with a piece of panty hose and a tie it up to create support for the plant when it grows.

4.       You can cut the panty hose in to large circles and make very useful hair bands.

So, think again before you toss those ripped pantyhose. After all, some choices are a lot more creative, smart and fun than other harmful choices.
