Grains are an important source of food in most countries.The most common grains are rice, wheat and corn. Rice is grown in many parts of the world, including Asia. Since so many people live in Asia, more rice is eaten there than anywhere else. Rice is eaten in approximately 130 countries, with the highest per capita consumption in China, Indonesia and Bangladesh. More than 90% of the world's rice is grown in Asia, where it is a staple food.
